Artist statement of Moka Sheung Yan Wong (or Moka SheungYan) :
Moka Studied Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Arts in London. She continued further study and research at the University of Applied Art Vienna, Austria shortly after making her completing bachelor exhibition. Her works and research include a variety of materials; oil painting on canvas, photography, sculpture, installation, as well as motion pictures. Most of her works present her fascination with tales, dolls, and mannequins, stem from the interest of psychological observation of the „Uncanny“. Creating a sense of discomfort, the viewers are caught in between dialogue of a distressed situation.
